Alt wall of sound

Went to see Wilco last week with Parker, I'm not the hugest Wilco fan but I like them, Parker loves them and we lucked into some tickets so we went. They sounded great, like they've been playing together forever, some stuff seemed a little to deliberately weird but a lot of it just sounded great, heard almost all the songs I like; "I am trying to break your heart', 'Shot in the arm' but not my all-time super fav 'Heavy Metal Drummer'. The band seemed to be having a pretty good time too, witty banter and all.

AC Newman were the supporting band, featuring local uberoverrated but still good Carl Newman, of Zumpano, Destroyers, New Pornographers fame, they kinda sounded like mud but seemed sweetly nervous and a couple songs almost broke through.

'I sincerely miss those heavy metal bands...'
